Laser beams are suitable for welding almost all thermoplastic parts and thermoplastic elastomers. Even glass fibers or a wide range of different materials can be welded with the laser.
Laser penetration: The optical properties of plastics are influenced by crystallization, fillers, material thickness and surface structure. Optimal absorption of the laser beam is achieved in near-surface layers with suitable fillers, for which the plastic itself is transparent.
