Overview of PET film

PET film is a thermoplastic polyester that can be laser cut, marked, and engraved. The chemical name of PET is polyethylene terephthalate. PET thin film laser cutting can be carried out using CO2 laser with a wavelength of 9.3 or 10.6 microns. However, laser marking of PET thin films requires a 9.3 micron CO2 laser. The 9.3 micron laser wavelength is absorbed on the surface of the PET film, forming a white frosted surface marker. Surface marking will not affect the integrity of the PET film.

PET film has excellent mechanical properties, and its toughness is the best among all thermoplastic materials. PET film also has excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, chemical resistance, and oil resistance.
